Hand weaving is one of humanity’s oldest activities. Initially made with natural materials, such as fibers found in nature, to build shelters and utensils.
This process is closely linked to the beginning of basketry and the first architectural structures built by human hands. The basic principle of hand weaving involves a crossing of orthogonal yarns, warp yarns and weft yarns. To perform this technique, we use frame looms, which work completely manually.
This hand weaving workshop is ideal for anyone who is curious about trying a painting loom for the first time.
With a project already prepared previously, in this workshop you will do the last phase of weaving, weaving.
At the end, you will take with you the fabric samples you made during the workshop.
