Arraiolos Embroidery

Arraiolos Embroidery is a traditional Portuguese embroidery technique that originated in the town of Arraiolos, located in the Alentejo region. This type of embroidery is known for its geometric and floral designs, usually crafted on rugs and carpets with thick wool over a jute or linen canvas.

In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn the basic Arraiolos stitch, using a design inspired by traditional Portuguese tiles.
